Waiting for Guffman (1996)
4/5 stars
Christopher Guest is one of those rare filmmakers who make me want to become a filmmaker, which is odd since the others are like, Stanley Kubrick and Jean Renoir. But it is true. The brilliant craftsmanship he employs as a filmmaker is integral to the effectiveness of his writing and the amazing performances. It's all about timing, not just as a comedian, but as comedy-filmmaker. So brilliant.
Waiting for Guffman is laugh-out-loud, amazingly hilarious.
